The Scanner S3 VHF Non Diversity Radio System offers economical, reliable, and natural sound reproduction, with straight-forward, trouble-free operation.
The Scanner S3 transmitter unit is an ergonomically designed hand held microphone, featuring a high energy dynamic capsule. Low drain circuitry gives long battery operating life. A recessed on/off switch is combined with a battery status indicator, showing battery condition at switch on, and monitoring battery usage during operation to indicate impending battery depletion via a high intensity LED.
The Scanner S3 receiver, housed in a high impact 1/2U ABS case, provides TNC antenna connection, unbalanced 1/4” mono jack output, and variable squelch control. The front panel features power on/off switch with indicator LED, plus RF lock, a variable audio output control and audio operation LEDs.
The Scanner S3 receiver unit can be powered with the dedicated psu supplied, or any appropriate 12-15v dc source. Single/multiple receivers can be rack mounted using MP60 rack unit – see accessories.
